You know that saying “behind every great man, there is a great woman?” Well, truth be told, behind every great woman, there is also a loving and supportive partner and family. Like steak and spinach salad, we’re also a great pair. Our best meals are almost always a result of our teamwork. I plan, organize, prepare and orchestrate. He’s in charge of grilling (as any good man should be!) Each of us have our strengths and together we’re a team. If you think of your food this way, you begin to realize which foods work best together and make great pairs. This easy quick dinner would be great during the busy work week and can be completed in less than 30 minutes.
The spinach salad is simply baby spinach greens tossed in a “light champagne” vinaigrette dressing. My favorite brand is “Girard’s Premium Dressings.” Next, place sliced fresh strawberries and crumbles of mild unseasoned goat cheese on top. Season your steak with sea salt and freshly ground pepper. We chose a rib-eye steak, but you can use any of your favorite cuts. Grill to your liking and make sure you let it rest for a couple minutes before slicing into it. This helps keep your steak juicy. Enjoy!
