This orange glaze for ham with a hint of bourbon is the perfect flavor combination for a sweet and tangy roast ham.
Combine all the ingredients into a small sauce pan over medium-high heat. Cook for about 5 minutes stirring frequently, just until the glaze is well incorporated.
Generously brush the glaze over a ham that has been scored all over in a diamond pattern prior to roasting.
Roasting times will vary depending on the size of your ham. A general rule of thumb is 15 minutes per pound of ham. Roast in a 350 F oven in a roasting pan with a little water in the bottom of it.
If the ham is uncooked, it should cook in the oven until it reaches an internal temperature of 160 F. If the ham is already cooked an internal temperature of 140 F is recommended.
The orange glaze can be made ahead of time and stored in a jar in the fridge for several days.
